2008 Juneteenth Heritage Festival, Anniston, Al.
The Juneteenth Heritage Festival 2008, our 16th year, has been planned by volunteers drawn from the entire community. This year the festival is set for 1 day, Saturday, June 14th. This is the largest festival of its type in Northeast Alabama and will be held in the heart of Downtown Anniston at Zinn Park. The park is across from the YMCA surrounded by West 13th & 14th Streets and Gurnee & Moore Avenues. Activities of the day include live entertainment, music, dance, arts & crafts, business exhibits and kiddie rides. Come join us for our 16th year celebration. To get a Vendor Application click Here.
There are 4 vendor categories. You may register in one or more category and pay the appropriate entry fee(s) which must accompany your application. Register early in order to make certain your space is reserved. The mail-in deadline is Thursday, June 7, 2008 except Commercial Food Vendors which is June 1st.

Vendor Categories
Exhibitors-Anyone not selling food or operating an amusement may rent exhibitor space (10'x10'). Arts & crafts, business expo or general merchandise. Non-profit groups may exhibit items free provided no sales take place.
Space Fee: 1 day $40 per space
Amusements-Anyone operating rides or physical activity entertainment, (ex. swings, moonwalk, speed pitch, basketball throw, games of skill) must provide a copy of a current liability insurance policy as applicable with the application. Include a description or, if possible, a photo of the activity.
Space Fee: 1 day $80 per space/booth/ride
Commercial Food Vendors- Anyone operating a food trailer or tent requiring a license to cook or prepare food on site, (ex. hot dogs, fish, barbeque, funnel cakes, lemonade, fountain drinks, ice cream, etc) must meet all regulations and approval of the Calhoun County Health Department. Do this first. Vendors are required to attach a menu to the application with trailer size information or photo. Contact the Health Department for guidelines on meeting eligibility and license requirements by calling: (256) 237-4324 or 237-7523.
FOOD VENDOR APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY JUNE 7th, 2008.
Space Fee: 1 day $110 per concession stand
Prepackaged Food Sales-Vendors selling only chips, candy or canned goods pre-packaged by a recognized food processing company, ex. Lays Potato Chips, do not need pre-approval. 10x10 space. However, bake sale displays must meet certain Health Department display regulations. Call (256) 237-4324 for details.

Water & Power
Water fountains are in the park with limited hookups available. Electrical power outlets are available on a first reserved-first served basis. Users must supply their own extension cables/cords and water hoses. Food and Amusement trailer vendors should come self-contained, including water tanks and generator back-up.
Sales and Permits
All sales are conducted strictly between vendor and buyer. No commission is charged on sales. Vendors are required to conduct such sales on an ethical basis. In no way will the Juneteenth Heritage Board or the City of Anniston be held responsible for any transaction nor guarantee sales volume. Collection and payment of sales tax, if any, to local authorities is solely the responsibility of the Vendor.
All Vendors must have a 2008 Special Event Vendors Business License from the City of Anniston to sell any merchandise, art, craft or food at the festival and it must be on display at the festival. We will handle this for you if you do not have a City Business LIcense. Application for a Business License is available by clicking the file link below, printing out and completing the form and sending it to the Juneteenth Heritage Festival. You must have your City of Anniston business license or registration with you at the festival. If you click on the icon below, complete the form and return it to us with your registration you will not have to take up time doing it in the park. DO NOT SEND IT TO CITY OF ANNISTON.

Check-in Time
Check-in starts promptly at 7:00 A.M. (CST) and vendors may unload at their assigned spaces after being registered by a festival staff person. Bring your own setups. Saturday displays must be in place by 10:00 A.M. and remain there until at least 7:00 P.M. No vehicles may remain inside the park. Vendor parking is reserved on W. 13th Street. The Festival will be held rain or shine, so come prepared. Do not setup the day before the Festival without the express permission and space assignment from Festival Staff. No security is provided for early setups.
